About the role

As Head of Asset Strategy, you’ll set the direction for a modern, insight‑led approach to asset management.

You’ll lead a talented team responsible for stock condition data, energy surveys, EPC programmes and the development of a new long‑term Asset Management Strategy.

Working closely with colleagues across Property & Place, you’ll use robust data to guide investment decisions, shape decarbonisation pathways, identify regeneration opportunities and ensure homes remain safe, warm and affordable for future generations.

You’ll also play a key role in aligning the organisation with Welsh Government priorities, the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act and wider sustainability goals - all while ensuring compliance, strong governance and excellent customer outcomes.

About you

You’ll thrive here if you:

Bring senior‑level experience leading asset strategy within a housing association, local authority or charity.
Are confident shaping long‑term strategy, managing complex data and influencing decisions at executive level.
Have a collaborative, people‑centred leadership style that empowers teams and champions wellbeing.
Hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB, CIH) or equivalent experience.
Care deeply about sustainability, decarbonisation and delivering homes that meet the needs of future generations.
