Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Cardiff 3 days a week, with some work-from-home. The Carbon Accountant will be responsible for analyzing, reporting, and tracking carbon emissions for various clients. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and verifying data, calculating carbon footprints, developing carbon reduction strategies, and assisting with implementing sustainable practices. The role also involves preparing detailed reports and communicating findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in data analysis, big data analytics, and use of Excel
- Experience with carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, and carbon footprint calculations
- Strong understanding of science-based targets and scenario planning tools
- Ability to develop and implement carbon reduction strategies and sustainable practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Experience in the environmental or sustainability sector
- Experience in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Accounting, or related field
