EPC Project Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced EPC Project Manager to oversee the execution of large-scale renewable energy installations across the UK, with an initial focus on utility scale solar PV which will likely expand to include energy storage and onshore wind.
Your leadership will guide each project from detailed planning through to commissioning, at which point it will be transitioned to the operational management team.
The role requires a strong mix of technical oversight, stakeholder coordination, and on-the-ground problem-solving. You'll engage regularly with suppliers, contractors, and a range of stakeholders, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate across technical, commercial, and risk disciplines to uphold high standards in health & safety and quality;
* Support implementation and continuous improvement of internal project delivery systems and methodologies;
* Lead engineering, procurement, and construction activities; organise and chair regular project coordination meetings;
* Manage project financials, including budgeting, cash flow, and invoice validation;
* Conduct site inspections to track progress and resolve issues in real time; * Ensure full compliance with permits, lease terms, grid agreements, financing terms, and offtake contracts;
* Prepare and maintain project reporting materials covering progress, expenditures, risks, and safety performance; * Develop and validate capital expenditure estimates;
* Coordinate with internal and external teams to establish and manage project team structures; * Ensure delivery of construction projects on schedule, within scope, and on budget;
* Be the accountable owner of each project during the pre-operational lifecycle.
Your Profile
* Degree in engineering, project management, or equivalent professional experience;
* Demonstrated success managing grid-connected renewable energy projects, ideally solar PV, during the build phase;
* In-depth understanding of UK health and safety regulations;
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken;
* Full driving license valid in the UK;
* Willingness to travel extensively within the UK, and occasionally to mainland Europe;
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities with confidence.
