Junior Projects Manager (Solar O&M)

A market-leading Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) provider is looking to hire a Junior Projects Manager to join its growing UK Projects Team. As the number of sites under management expands, this role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of solar PV projects across the UK, ensuring their smooth delivery from design to completion.
About the Role
You’ll be working closely with senior project leads and internal departments to coordinate the successful delivery of solar projects. From tracking delivery timelines to supporting health & safety compliance and managing subcontractors, this is a hands-on role with plenty of scope for growth.
This is ideal for someone with a technical background in solar energy or electrical engineering who is looking to step into a structured project management role in a high-growth, high-impact sector.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple projects, from planning through to execution
- Track delivery milestones, timescales, and project costs
- Maintain up-to-date project plans and reporting documentation
- Communicate regularly with internal teams and escalate risks where needed
- Assist with H&S duties including RAMS, compliance documents, and CDM 2015
- Ensure site welfare, CPP, statutory notices, and risk registers are in place
- Liaise with third-party contractors during quoting and delivery stages
- Verify technical project elements before works begin
- Support continuous improvement efforts in project delivery and safety
- Maintain communication with stakeholders to meet KPIs and expectations
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture that values transparency and trust
Key Requirements
- Experience in a project coordination or junior project management role
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
- A technical understanding of solar PV systems (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working across multiple sites and engaging with contractors
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
