What You Will Be Involved In
As part of our team, you will craft machine learning solutions that help steer the direction of the company's Data Science and Machine Learning efforts. You will have opportunities to innovate, contribute, and make an impact on the rapidly growing FinTech industry.
You will participate in the design, development, delivery, and analysis of high-quality machine learning solutions that contribute to the success of Sage and add intelligence to our products. You will learn how to use cutting-edge ML/AI tools such as TensorFlow/PyTorch and scikit-learn, as well as the tools used to run models in production, including Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
Core to the role is a passion for all things Data Science and Machine Learning, alongside the mindset that learning is a key part of the role, and the confidence to suggest recommendations and effectively communicate results to diverse groups and stakeholders.
You will pair with a dedicated mentor from Sage AI and gain hands-on experience across the ML development lifecycle to hone both your technical and professional skills.
Innovation will be at the heart of this role, and you will continually share new ideas, identify opportunities, and suggest better ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and analyze machine learning solutions for Sage products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
- Leverage modern ML/AI frameworks and MLOps tooling (e.g., TensorFlow/PyTorch, scikit-learn, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).
- Communicate insights and results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation by sharing ideas and improving ways of working.
Qualifications
Education
Educated to degree level in a relevant STEM discipline, with a strong interest in pursuing a career in Machine Learning.
Skills And Experience (Helpful But Not Essential)
- Inquisitive, observant, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Resilient and adaptable to changing business demands.
- Excellent communicator, able to present both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Proficient in coding and debugging, with a desire to further develop these skills.
- Experience using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
