Our client is at the forefront of battery materials innovation and is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Lead to drive collaboration and stakeholder engagement across the UK and global clean energy ecosystem.
In this role, you’ll identify, develop, and manage relationships with academia, industry, funding bodies, and supply chain partners — helping bring breakthrough projects to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build partnerships across the battery, clean energy, and advanced materials sectors
- Collaborate with universities, research institutions, and innovation networks on joint projects and funding bids
- Develop strong supplier relationships for feedstock and equipment in support of large-scale manufacturing projects
- Represent the business at industry expos, conferences, and networking events
- Map and track the UK battery materials ecosystem to identify collaboration opportunities
- Engage with government agencies, funding bodies, and policy stakeholders to support growth initiatives
- Maintain accurate partner records and ensure follow-up through the CRM system
- Work closely with internal R&D, technical, and operations teams to align opportunities with project needs
About You:
- Degree in materials science, engineering, sustainability, or a related discipline
- Proven track record in building and managing strategic partnerships in cleantech, battery materials, or advanced manufacturing
- Strong understanding of battery technologies, the energy value chain, and industrial decarbonisation
- Excellent communication and networking skills, comfortable engaging with senior leaders and decision-makers
- Highly self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
Desirable:
- Experience securing and managing grant-funded collaborations
- Established network within the UK battery and clean energy sector
- Knowledge of supply chain development
