Overview of the Role
The Energy and Environmental Excellence Graduate will support the Operations Manager and Operations Director across key projects, including investment-grade proposals for commercial and residential properties, carbon reduction strategies, energy savings, new technologies, and analysis of fuel bills and usage. This role suits a dynamic, driven individual who can work independently and manage the full project lifecycle, with a passion for environmental change.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret measured energy data to improve efficiency and savings across projects.
- Calculate energy assessments and evaluate performance of efficiency measures.
- Develop proposals to reduce carbon emissions, energy consumption, and fuel bills/usage.
- Research and become familiar with new technologies (e.g., hydrogen gas) and act as a subject-matter contributor on projects.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality written reports, communications, and presentations on projects and proposals.
- Manage energy and CO2 emissions performance of existing projects.
- Enable clients and customers to optimise their portfolios and be future-ready (demographics, technology, climate, etc.).
- Produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
- Provide bespoke and strategic sustainability guidance.

- Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., engineering, sustainability, renewable energy).

- Understanding of the wider sustainability context, including policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in sustainability or engineering.
- Experience translating commercial and residential property owners’ needs into efficient and innovative solutions.
- Hands-on experience developing strategies and procedures for energy and carbon reduction.
- Experience advising on environmental technical design, planning, and Building Regulation compliance documentation.
