Wash Plant Operator

About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and safety-conscious
Wash Plant Operator to join our recycling operations team. This role is key to ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our static recycling wash plant. You’ll be responsible for monitoring plant performance, executing planned and reactive maintenance, and supporting production targets—all while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the wash plant in line with health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor plant performance to meet site KPIs, including material quality standards.
- Conduct daily inspections and report faults using site systems
- Perform routine maintenance and assist with repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of the plant, ensuring good housekeeping.
- Support plant start-up, shutdown, and changeover activities.
- Complete relevant documentation and maintenance records.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in operating and maintaining industrial plant equipment (preferably in recycling or aggregates).
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and attend training/development courses.
