The team plays its home fixtures at Joie Stadium, a 7,000 capacity arena. The stadium sits on the wider Etihad Campus, which also encompasses the City Football Academy, where we are building a new world-class Women’s First Team Training Centre.

We are seeking an innovative and commercially astute Director of Marketing, Revenue & Fan Experience to lead Manchester City Women’s brand growth, revenue performance, and fan-first culture. This senior leader will shape and deliver the integrated marketing, matchday, and fan engagement strategy, ensuring sustainable financial growth while building world-class, inclusive experiences for supporters locally and globally.
We are looking for a collaborative leader who can bring expertise in brand, revenue growth, and fan/customer engagement, with a good understanding of matchday operations. Your Impact
Strategic Leadership
- Define and deliver an integrated marketing, fan engagement, and matchday revenue strategy aligned with the club’s long-term objectives.
- Serve as a senior leader within the Man City Women Leadership Team, driving commercial sustainability, audience growth, and fan-first experiences
- Act as guardian of the Man City Women brand, ensuring consistency, inclusivity, and resonance across all platforms and touchpoints
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across marketing, commercial, and matchday teams.
Brand and Marketing
- Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, ticket sales, and engagement across digital, social, and traditional channels.
- Oversee brand positioning, tone of voice, and storytelling, ensuring cultural relevance and emotional resonance with diverse audiences.
- Direct the use of performance marketing, CRM, fan data strategy, and personalisation tools to grow audiences and optimise conversions.
- Collaborate with communications and content teams to develop impactful narratives, activations, and earned media strategies.
- Partner with the commercial partnership team to deliver creative activations that drive sponsor value and deepen fan connection.
Matchday Revenue & Commercial Growth
- Own the matchday P&L, driving sustainable revenue across ticketing, hospitality, concessions, retail, licensing, and ancillary streams.
- Lead pricing, bundling, and promotional strategies for season tickets, memberships, and fan events.
- Work with stadium development teams to optimise capacity, fan experience, and revenue opportunities.
- Expand revenue opportunities beyond matchdays through fan events, memberships, and digital engagement products.
- Use commercial data and insights to identify trends, evaluate performance, and deliver measurable growth.
Fan Engagement & Experience
- Champion a fan-first cultureacross the organisation, embedding supporter voice and insight into decision-making.
- Lead the design and delivery of world-class matchday and non-matchday fan experiences, ensuring inclusivity, accessibility, and cultural relevance.
- Oversee the end-to-end fan journey, from initial engagement through to in-stadium and post-match experiences.
- Establish and manage fan engagement programmes (forums, loyalty schemes, surveys, etc) to build trust and community.
- Be a visible and active representative of the club at fixtures, events, and supporter activities, fostering authentic relationships.
Insights, Innovation & Performance
- Commission and interpret fan research, NPS tracking, and commercial data to inform strategy and improve performance.
- Introduce innovative technologies and best practices from global sport, entertainment, and hospitality to enhance fan and commercial outcomes.
- Develop and track KPIs across marketing, revenue, and fan engagement, ensuring accountability and impact.
- Lead pilot projects and test-and-learn approaches to continuously improve both fan satisfaction and revenue performance.
What we are looking for
- Leadership experience in marketing, commercial, or fan experience roles — this could be within sport, fashion, entertainment, hospitality, retail, or another relevant sector.
- Experience in women’s sport and/or awareness of the WSL landscape.
- Strong track record in driving P&L performance, growing audiences, and delivering best-in-class fan experiences.
- Advanced knowledge of integrated marketing campaigns, CRM, digital platforms, and fan engagement strategies.
- Expertise in stadium or large-scale event operations with deep understanding of the matchday environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, leadership, and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to turn data and insights into action.
- Inspirational leader with a balance of strategic vision and operational execution.
- Familiarity with accessibility, safety, and inclusion principles in large-scale events.
- Track record in managing global fan engagement programmes.
- Some evening and weekend work will be required in line with the club schedule, and we’ll support you in managing work-life balance.
