£55,000 - £65,000 Basic Salary DOE

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Azure infrastructure using Bicep or Terraform
- Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (YAML)
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical growth
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and platform reliability
- Champion automation, security, and best practices
- Align infrastructure with technical and business goals
Experience
- Proven experience in data engineering, including ELT pipelines, large/complex datasets, and Spark-native platforms (Databricks, Fabric, Python, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Azure data services, orchestration tools (Azure Functions, Airflow, AWS Lambda), and modern data architectures.
- Expertise in data governance, quality, and modelling, with a strong grasp of privacy and lifecycle management.
- Solid grounding in cloud security, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and building scalable, resilient, reusable solutions.
- A collaborative, innovation-driven mindset, with excellent communication skills and a passion for technical excellence.
- Proficiency in IaC (Bicep/Terraform) and Azure DevOps
- Track record of building secure, scalable cloud platforms
- Great communicator and team collaborator
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset
- Bonus: Familiar with Node.js, TypeScript, or .NET
