Life as an AI & Data AI Summer Intern
As an AI & Data Summer intern, you’ll harness advanced AI and analytics to uncover insights from complex datasets, working on high-impact projects across a range of industries. You’ll help design and build cutting edge solutions and agentic workflows that drive business insight, streamline operations and enhance decision-making. Alongside diverse, cross-functional teams, you’ll bring data to life through powerful visualisations and storytelling, while contributing to the development of AI & Data strategies for leading global businesses. What you’ll need
To join our 12-week AI & Data Summer Internship, you’ll need to be a penultimate-year undergraduate or Integrated Masters student at a UK university who are curious, driven, and eager to make an impact.
Whether you're studying Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Social Sciences, or any subject that builds a solid foundation in analytical thinking and data handling, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Development Path
Role
Once you’ve completed your initial training, you’ll be ready to take on your first role. Project placements vary based on business needs, and we encourage interns to explore a wide range of opportunities to discover what excites them most. Typical roles on this programme may include:
- AI Engineer

- Data Strategist
- Technical Business Analyst
- Visualisation Developer
Throughout your internship, you’ll be supported with ongoing training, coaching, and guidance to help you grow your skills and shape your career.
You will also have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned at university, explore different areas of AI & data and uncover where your skills and passions lie.
By the end of the scheme, you’ll walk away with valuable experience, in-demand skills—and hopefully, an offer to join us when you graduate.
To bring this to life, here are some examples from recent AI & Data graduates:
- Ben joined the programme in 2025 and is now playing a key role in transforming how a major UK Government body stores, manages, and harnesses data to drive smarter decisions and better public services.
- Oluwaseyi joined the programme in 2023 and is now designing and managing the build of a mineral accounting insights & reporting solution for a large global mining company.
- Conor joined the programme in 2022 and is now shaping strategic direction for a large global bank’s application modernisation, driving system transformation and team capability uplift.
Where You’ll Work
At Accenture, we value collaboration and connection.
You’ll be expected to work from your assigned UK office at least three days per week, so you must live within commuting distance. Depending on project needs, you may also spend time at client sites across the UK—sometimes more than three days a week.
Expect a changeable, hands-on environment where in-person teamwork helps you grow, build relationships, and make a meaningful impact.
Visas
Unfortunately, immigration minimum salary requirements set by the UK authorities (UKVI) mean that Accenture is
not able to progress applications from candidates who are currently on student visas. You will need the right to work in the UK by the start of your employment.
Key Dates
Our summer internship starts on
Monday 29th June 2026 and ends on Friday 18th September 2026.
Places are offered on a first come first served basis, we encourage you to apply early.

Step 3: Interviews - If you pass the assessment, you’ll be invited to interview with us.
- Interviews typically include:
- One interview with a recruiter.
- A final interview with a manager from the business.
