The Role
As a member of the bioinformatics group, based in our Manchester workspace, our bioinformatics support all aspects of data analysis, visualisation and interpretation within Almac Discovery.
Working across the biology, chemistry, and protein therapeutics teams, the role will support the analysis demand of the drug discovery projects, aid clinical positioning and drive the new target identification that feeds our pipeline.

Essential Criteria
BSc or MSc in bioinformatics, structural or computational Biology
Experience of using either R or Python.
Experience in performing analysis of Microarray or Next Generation Sequencing datasets
Application of statistical tests to Bioinformatics datasets
Ability to use Linux operating systems
Desirable Criteria
(The following criterion may be applied if a large pool of applicants exists)
PhD in bioinformatics, structural or computational biology.
Work experience in either an academic or industrial scientific setting.
Experience handling structural bioinformatics data.
R or Python package development skills.
Experience with machine learning or deep learning algorithms.
Experience developing databases (e.g. SQL)
Experience developing apps
