Gold Card Electrician – Solar Farm Projects

The Role
We're looking for a skilled Gold Card Electrician to work on solar farm projects across the UK. If you've got solid experience in renewable energy and want to be part of the green energy transition, this could be a great fit.
What You'll Be Doing
- Installing, testing, and commissioning electrical systems on solar farms
- Maintaining and troubleshooting solar PV systems, inverters, and transformers
- Connecting solar panels and associated electrical kit
- Running inspections and testing to BS 7671 standards
- Working from technical drawings and specs
- Keeping on top of customers requirements and being adaptable
- Working with the wider site team to get projects over the line
- Making sure everything's done safely and to spec
What You Need
- Valid Gold Card (ECS or JIB)
- Current NAPIT or NICEIC membership
- Hands-on experience with solar farm projects – we need someone who's been there and done it
- 18th Edition Wiring Regs
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- Inspection and Testing (2391 or similar)
- Good working knowledge of solar PV systems and grid connections
- Full UK driving license
- Someone who can think on their feet and spot issues before they become problems
- Happy working solo or as part of a team
Nice to Have
- HV experience (Authorised Person)
- Battery storage (BESS) knowledge
- IOSH or SMSTS
- Background in large commercial or utility-scale work
