Head of AI – LegalTech

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Head of AI to spearhead the evolution of our platform. As the legal industry moves past simple automation and toward autonomous reasoning, you will be the architect of our future. You will lead the transition from basic LLM integration to advanced, agentic AI systems that handle complex legal discovery, contract synthesis, and predictive risk modelling.
The Role
- Strategic Roadmap: Define and own the AI strategy, moving beyond "wrappers" to create proprietary, defensible IP.
- Engineering Leadership: Build and mentor an elite team of Machine Learning and NLP Engineers.
- Architecture: Oversee the development of secure, RAG-based architectures that respect the strict data sovereignty and privilege requirements of top-tier law firms.
- Executive Influence: Act as the face of AI for the firm, advising the board and engaging with high-value clients to demonstrate the power and safety of our tech.
Your Background
- Proven Expertise: You have a track record of deploying production-grade AI/ML solutions (preferably in highly regulated sectors like Law, Finance, or Health).
- Technical Breadth: Deep knowledge of transformer models, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate), and the nuances of fine-tuning for domain-specific accuracy.
- Leadership: Experience scaling a technical team and managing the full SDLC of AI-driven products.
- Academic Foundation: A strong degree (MSc/PhD) in Computer Science, AI, or a related quantitative field.
