Data sits at the core of everything powering operational decisions, analytics, and increasingly, automated and AI-driven systems. The platform already processes thousands of data points in real time, and as the company scales rapidly, the data platform must scale with it.

The Role
As Head of Data Platform, you will own and scale the central data platform, the infrastructure that transforms raw operational data into trusted, production-ready intelligence.
You’ll lead and grow a team of analytics and data engineers, evolve a modern dbt-based platform, and ensure data is reliable, scalable, and ready to power analytics, machine learning, and automated decision-making.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-growth, startup environment that requires:
- Ownership of the data platform strategy across transformation, orchestration, and semantic modelling.
- Leading, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing data platform team.
- Responsibility in ensuring data is accurate, trusted, and scalable across the business.
- Partnering closely with engineering to define strong upstream data foundations.
- Building infrastructure that supports analytics, ML, and automated systems.
- Representing the data platform at leadership level.
Tech stack
Modern data stack includes (but not limited to):
- Languages: SQL (critical), Python
- Transformation Layer: dbt (essential)
- Cloud Data Warehouse: (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift or similar)
- Semantic layer: Cube or similar semantic layer
- Orchestration tools: Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
- BI Tools: Looker, Tableau
- Cloud: AWS, GCP, or Azure
Who we are looking for:
- Experience leading and scaling data platform, analytics engineering, or data engineering teams
- Strong hands-on experience with modern data stacks (dbt, cloud warehouse, orchestration)
- Experience in startup or scale-up environments
- Player-coach mindset with both technical depth and leadership capability
- Experience building scalable, production-grade data platforms
