Role Overview
Working within the NEOM Trojena Proponent Project Management Office (PMO), the Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and updating of project schedules for Projects under the Trojena Program, to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner according to program requirements.
The Planning Manager will be managing and overseeing day-to-day activities of program management and reporting for the Projects, providing guidance on PMO planning policies and procedures, and managing in collaboration with other department leaders and team members to develop program schedule updates and monitor and report to the master schedule. The Planning Manager will be reporting directly to the NEOM Trojena Planning Head and Director of PMO and delivery.
Requirements Summary
- Working within the organization structure, and in coordination with team members, oversee and manage program schedule and related reporting in line with organizational objectives.
- Create and review baselines, recovery/revised and updated periodic schedules.
- Monitor and optimize integrated schedule for assets within the masterplan.
- Oversee Schedule Status Reports for the projects/programs for review with the Management Team and issuance according to required deadlines.
- Review, analyze and accept schedules provided by consultants and contractors for recommendations and support to the Project Teams.
- Prepares and presents the Schedule Impact Report. Leads the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.
- Manage schedule control and change management process for projects, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed.
- Monitor compliance with policies and standards.
- Provide executive leaders with information and assessment of schedule proposals on projects.
- Continuously monitor, evaluate, and report project schedules and KPIs to ensure they are adhering to plan and progress.
- Prepares and presents planning and scheduling information to management.
- Ensure the achievement of milestones in the delivery of the program.
- Oversee the implementation of NEOM process and procedures.
- Capability to identify inefficiencies and areas of improvement in existing processes.

- Coordinate stakeholder involvement in projects, ensuring their feedback is integrated into planning and decisionmaking processes.
- Track and monitor stakeholder engagement activities and their impact on project outcomes.

- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other communication materials tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Ensure that all stakeholder engagement activities comply with the relevant regulations and ethical standards.

Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in project program and schedule management experience.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering major civils and building projects.
- Ability to manage enterprise level schedule management processes and reporting, meet deadlines, interface with different sectors and stakeholders and work in a fast-paced technology driven environment.
- Knowledge of Project Schedule Management, planning and scheduling principles, practices and procedures.
- Expert-level knowledge of project schedule control and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches.
- Program management skills
- Superior knowledge of schedule management tools and software, Primavera P6 and other related scheduling software.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong analytical ability.
- Strong attention to details and technicalities.
- Excellent organizational and technical skills.
- Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management or comparable.
- Master’s degree in engineering, Project Management or comparable preferred.
- Relevant Professional Memberships/Accreditation preferred.
- Project Management Professional or Planning certification preferred.
