Role Overview
Responsible for overseeing the financial planning and performance management activities for regions with effective support on business and financial modelling for annual budget processes and monitoring performance.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The Executive Director – Financial Planning & Performance Management (FPPM) responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Visionary Change Maker
- Review and confirm the short term budgets are aligned with medium and long-term business and financial models for regions.
- Review the strategic long-term financial plans and ensure that the strategic financial plan matches with the implementation plans
- Assess and review the performance from regions and provide views and recommendations on returns analysis
- Contribute to the commercial and financial due diligence activities from an industry and geographic perspective and share recommendations for improvements
- Maintain and enhance financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and analysis policies, processes and calendars in line with overall NEOM Group policies and timelines
- Manage the development and implementation of departmental policies, systems, internal framework, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements and standards
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and technology in FP&A space and provide expert input to regions for improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of the function and its accelerators

- Maintain a close relationship with regional management of NEOM

- Oversee and represent the regional FPPM director’s performance including direct and indirect reports, workforce requirements, recruitment, training & development in coordination with the HR department to ensure competent talent that enables the department to achieve its objectives

- Cascade strategic plans to the financial budgets across the regions to ensure overall plans match with the IRR and returns expectations
- Liaise and support Financial Reporting & Control and Transformation Executive Director in the designing and execution of initiatives and transformation programs in contemplation of aligning the company with its business strategy and vision

Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 15+ years’ experience in a similar role with a real estate, construction, sovereign wealth fund, or investments company
- Knowledge of Financial & Management Accounting
- Knowledge of Planning, Budgeting and Management Reporting
- Knowledge of Financial and Management Consolidation
- Knowledge of SAP, BI and EPM tools is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in management accounting and/or Finance
- Finance/Accounting certifications/qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA, CMA, ACCA, or similar)
