The Mullany Fund (TMF) is an award-winning South Wales charity working to increase social mobility through education. Our flagship project, Together Making Futures (awarded Wales STEM Awards Winner 2024 – Best Educational Programme in Wales), is a bilingual online e-mentoring programme. Mentora Mullany connects young, disadvantaged people in Wales (aged 14-19) with over 300 DBS checked volunteer STEM professionals and undergraduates. This life-changing work helps young people from underrepresented backgrounds achieve higher education and meaningful STEM careers. Some of our former mentees return as mentors—a powerful indicator of sustained impact and the long-term value of our support.
We are now ready to grow—and we need a confident, persuasive, and mission-driven professional to help us make that happen.
About the Role
This new role is pivotal. You’ll be the public face and voice of TMF—a confident communicator, storyteller, and relationship-builder who can champion our mission, grow our network of supporters, and secure resources that sustain and expand our impact.

· Can clearly and convincingly communicate the value of our work to a wide range of audiences.
· Builds long-term, purposeful relationships with funders, schools, universities, businesses and other stakeholders.

The successful applicant will enjoy a varied role that blends desk-based preparation—such as planning outreach presentations, coordinating communications, contributing to funding applications—with external engagement, including school visits, partnership meetings, and stakeholder presentations. We need someone ready to meet stakeholders, present with energy, follow up on opportunities, and unlock new connections. You will work closely with the Projects Director and Trustees to help shape the strategic direction of TMF and support its long-term sustainability.

· Deliver engaging presentations in schools to recruit mentees and raise awareness of the programme.
· Liaise with industry, businesses, universities and other partners to secure funding, develop partnerships, and create work experience opportunities for mentees.
· Produce a monthly highlight report for the Board of Trustees, summarising key activities, progress, relationships, and emerging opportunities.

· Maintain accurate records of stakeholder engagement and communications.
· Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and equality duties as an integral part of the role.
