The Role:
The Research Data Intern will support the research team by contributing to data-driven projects, including benchmarking studies and analytical deep-dives. This role involves hands-on work gathering, cleaning, and validating datasets from a range of sources, helping ensure our research is built on accurate, high-quality data.
What you'll work on:
- Collect and organize data from internal systems, public sources, APIs, and third-party providers
- Perform quality assurance and validation checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency of datasets
- Maintain and improve internal documentation, flagging outdated processes or unclear instructions
- Support benchmarking projects, on topics such as AI readiness among Fortune 500 companies
- Conduct exploratory data research and summarise findings for use in presentations or internal reports
- Collaborate with research analysts, research directors, and the data team on high-impact projects
- Contribute to improving the performance of internal AI tools through data review and feedback
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL (BigQuery)
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to dive into unfamiliar topics
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills and an interest in research-driven work
- Bonus: Experience with Python, APIs, or PowerBI
