As a LNG originator you are responsible for driving new deals. You will identify leads, gather market intelligence, and source opportunities, particularly across EMEA. You will play a key role in evolving and implementing our global LNG strategy alongside colleagues across the international LNG organization.
What You Will Do
As a LNG originator you will establish and maintain relationships with global LNG suppliers and customers—identify leads, gather market intelligence, and source opportunities, particularly across EMEA. You will play a key role in evolving and implementing our global LNG strategy alongside colleagues across the international LNG organization. You will also;
- Originate and structure physical LNG deals, collaborating closely with LNG Trading and portfolio teams to align with strategic tenor and optimization goals.
- Identify and develop medium- to long-term procurement and sales opportunities aligned with portfolio needs.
- Lead end-to-end negotiation of physical LNG transactions, from inception through execution, while supporting business planning cycles (e.g., ADP).
- Ensure all transactions are executed in full compliance with internal governance, contractual frameworks, and risk management policies. Develop and present robust deal documentation and recommendations for senior leadership approval.
- Conduct thorough deal pricing assessments and risk evaluations, integrating both intrinsic and extrinsic value perspectives.
What You Will Bring
With your extensive LNG experience including an established with a counterparty network with a proven track record of building relationships and closing attractive LNG deals. Your previous experience in LNG origination, trading, or commercial negotiation is essential. You will also have
- Deep understanding of LNG markets, deal structuring, and portfolio optimization. including excellent financial, analytical and economic modelling skills;
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a global mindset.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across different geographies and time zones.
- Tenacious and results orientated, takes initiative and drives for closure;
- Established track record of closing bespoke SPAs and MSPA/CNs
