Built Environment Business Development ManagerLondon
Six-month initial contract.
Would you like to really make a difference?
In this role you’ll apply your skills to a green technology scale-up that successfully won funding from Deborah Meaden on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den and is helping accelerate the UK’s transition to EVs.
As our Built Environment Business Development Manager you’ll change the way UK housebuilders install EV charging infrastructure in new homes across the UK.
We are a multi-award-winning business – we went live in February 2023, have coverage across the BBC, Sky News and ITV, and are now the market leader – we’re already selling our product in 31 councils and to five housebuilders across the UK, and now we’re ready to expand our presence in the built environment sector.
If you’re looking to make the next move in your career and be part of something big we’d love to hear from you.
Where you come inUK housebuilders are legally required to install EV chargers in new homes, but around 25% of new builds have a pavement between the house and the parking space. Up until now most housebuilders install a buried armoured cable and pedestal charger to cross the pavement - this is expensive and also inconvenient - pedestal chargers often reduce the available pavement width and are prone to being hit by cars.
Our patented through-pavement EV charging channels are a much simpler and more affordable solution - they sit flush with the pavement and have a self closing lid design. When the resident wants to charge they simply insert their cable and the self-closing lid snaps down shut behind.
We’ve already sold units to Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon, Cala and Lovell homes but there is much more work to do to build awareness of this product so it becomes business as usual - that’s where you come in.
The Kerbo Charge self-closing EV charging channel, at a Lovell Homes development - the charging cable is removed when charging is complete.
