QHSE Manager
Job Overview:
The QHSE Manager at BAAN Group Holding Company Catering Services is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) systems. This role ensures compliance with local regulations, international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000), and company policies. The QHSE Manager is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety and quality across catering operations, promoting employee health and welfare, food safety, and environmental sustainability. In NEOM’s challenging and remote environment, the QHSE Manager ensures that high standards are maintained despite operational complexities.
Job Competence Matrix:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Food Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Environmental Management or Occupational Health and Safety. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or Lead Auditor certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000) are highly advantageous.
Work Experience:
- Minimum: 8-10 years of QHSE management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within catering, hospitality, or food service industries.
- Preferred: Experience managing QHSE functions in large-scale, high-demand, or remote operations (e.g., industrial projects, oil & gas, construction) to address unique challenges.
- Relevant: Proven track record in establishing and improving QHSE systems in line with international standards and local regulations, including risk assessments and incident management.

- QHSE Systems Implementation: Expertise in developing and maintaining integrated QHSE management systems that meet ISO standards, customized for large-scale catering operations.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Lead comprehensive risk assessments to identify hazards related to food safety and health, developing and executing effective mitigation plans.
Audits and Inspections:
Plan and conduct internal audits to verify compliance with QHSE standards, prepare for external audits, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Incident Investigation and Reporting:
Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Staff Training and Awareness:
Develop and deliver targeted QHSE training programs, ensuring all employees understand their roles in maintaining safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Environmental Sustainability Initiatives:
Minimize the environmental impact of operations by promoting waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable sourcing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Food Safety and Hygiene Compliance:
