Job Content, Responsibilities & Possibilities
Based in either our London (UK) or Copenhagen (Denmark) office, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of P2X plants, processes, and technologies. Your work will focus on technical excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize P2X processes, including process simulations, engineering calculations, and technical deliverables.
- Conduct techno-economic evaluations of proposed P2X facilities.
- Review and assess vendor and technology licensor documentation for suitability.
- Identify relevant local, national, and international engineering codes, standards, and regulations based on project technology and location.
- Develop preliminary control and instrumentation schemes.
- Participate in safety studies (e.g., HAZID/HAZOP) as the process subject matter expert.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate engineering outcomes and promote knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to and potentially lead innovation initiatives.
- Coordinate with junior engineers to ensure timely, high-quality, and budget-conscious project delivery.
What You Bring – Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a technically strong and motivated Senior Process Engineer who is passionate about sustainable technologies.
You ideally bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of process engineering experience - ideally within P2X or related sectors such as hydrogen, ammonia, or methanol.
- Experience with technology licensors or OEMs (preferred).
- Familiarity with electrolysis technologies (a plus).
- Strong background in process design, optimization, and scale-up.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or similar.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional engineering projects.
- Solid knowledge of thermodynamics, chemical reactions, and process control.
- Sharp analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A strong record of successful project execution.
- Willingness to travel and collaborate closely with clients and global project teams.
