Job summary
The Zero Emission Delivery Manager supports the Head of Zero Emission Transformation in the delivery of all live Zero Emission Bus Garage route deployments across the Metroline London Bus Garage estate.
This role works closely with our stakeholders to deliver solutions in line with commercial objectives and all relevant legislation. In addition, support future projects that offer our services to internal and external business partners that will or could benefit from low/ zero emission transport options.
Main Responsibilities
- To work with UK power supply partners to structure and procure the delivery of power to and within our depots.
- Investigate and identify power requirements
- Work with supply chain to develop and agree ZE infrastructure phasing and investment plans
- Work with the Purchasing/Technical teams in developing a progressive strategy of introducing these systems to site
- Support Head of Planning and Schedules with assessing the viability of ZE operations and outline recommendations in line with TfL route tender programme
- Responsible for the delivery and implementation of ZE infrastructure
- Work with Property Management and SHEQ team on planned implementation of ZE infrastructure
- Support the Head of Zero Emission Transformation and SHEQ team to develop suitable fire safety risk mitigations to protect our people, our assets, our premises and the communities we serve
- Deliver all solutions in full compliance with SHEQ requirements including; ensuring all necessary RAMS, policies, processes and reporting requirements are in place by the Principal Contractor and their teams to demonstrate safe working on and to our sites
- Delivering all solutions in the context of the contractual arrangements in place for our London operations
- To be familiarised and keep up to date with upcoming charging infrastructure possibilities for electrification of the bus network
- The ability to communicate well and to work as part of a team is essential to show how ZE technology will affect day to day operation of our businesses in terms of scheduling, fleet size and cost management.
- Work with the Head of Zero Emission Transformation and Finance Department colleagues to prepare all necessary financial approvals and deliver solutions within budgets.

Essential & Desirable Criteria
- A thorough understanding of the structure and operation of UK Power Supply arrangements (essential)
- An understanding a ZE (Hydrogen and Electric) public transport solutions (desirable)
- Have a proven track record in delivering change and an innovative approach to problem solving (desirable)
- Experience of the management of subcontractors and construction projects (desirable)
- Has a good understanding of budget controls and cost management; (essential)
- Proven project management experience;(desirable)
- Understands the impact of KPIs and their relevance to the business; (essential)
- Skilled in the use of IT systems, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook. (essential)
- Experience with the preparation and submittance of financial administration as part of a project approval process.

Hours of work
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday but must be flexible to work over and above these hours if deemed necessary.
