We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven LNG trader to join our global team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Atlantic basin trading activity with a set of clear P&L targets whilst continuing to support the physical growth and expansion of SEFE LNG Portfolio. This position will report into the VP LNG Trading – Atlantic.
What You Will Do
You will be responsible for trading LNG cargoes in the Atlantic basin and Middle East with focus on the spot trading activity (front 24 months horizon). Optimise and trade SEFE’s LNG Regassification Terminal positions in Europe (Trading/Swapping LNG in-tank, Storage/Regas capacity.
- Monitor and understand participant behaviours and market dynamics.
- Share market intel and insights with the rest of the team to elaborate joint views
- Take ownership of existing flow and expand SEFE’s footprint where profitable.
- Reach a clear set of financial and physical targets (individual and collective).
- Manage end-to-end positions, liaising with shipping, operators, derivatives traders, middle and back office.
- Liaise with and support the LNG Origination team for longer dated transactions.
- MSPA negotiation with new counterparts
What You Will Bring
You will have a deep understanding of Gas & LNG trading dynamics and drivers with a transactional mindset with aptitude to seize and close trading opportunities. You will also:
- Strong numerical skills, attention to details
- Adaptable with strong communication skills to maintain and build business accounts/relationship.
- Strong team spirit and drive in achieving common goals.
- Prior experience in an LNG Front Office role will be require
- Proven experience with European regassification terminals: Key value drivers, Economics and logistics
- Established track record in LNG trading
- Hold a degree level education or equivalent experience
