Company Description
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park was designated in 1952 and is one of three National Parks in Wales. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority was created in 1996 to conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage of the Park while promoting public enjoyment and understanding of its special qualities. The Authority also works to foster the economic and social well-being of communities within the Park.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sustainability Officer located in the Greater Swansea Area. The Sustainability Officer will be responsible for implementing sustainable practices, monitoring impacts, and engaging with local communities to promote sustainability initiatives within the National Park.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of environmental conservation and sustainability practices
- Experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives
- Welsh Language essential
- Ability to monitor and analyse environmental impacts
- Excellent communication and community engagement skills
- Project management and organisational skills
- Understanding of local environmental regulations and policies
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field
