SLR has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate grade Consultant to join its busy and thriving Environmental Management, Permitting and Compliance (EMPC) team.
The team provide regulatory compliance and environmental management services to assist the waste, industry, power and oil and gas sectors with their complex environmental legislative obligations. The services and sectors within which the team operate are key areas of growth for the business. Applications are invited from candidates looking for their first professional position.

The role
You Will Assist The Team In a Diverse Range Of Compliance And Environmental Management Matters Including Preparation Of Environmental Permit Applications, Undertaking Of Audits And Development Of Environmental Management Systems, Within The Waste, Industry And Energy Sectors. You Will Be Expected To
- Deliver technical work under the supervision of senior colleagues;
- Build professional knowledge by keeping up to date with trends and best practice in environmental permitting;
- Organise self to be on time and deliver work as needed;
- Be positive and professional; and
- Understand the importance of client relationships and build rapport with clients

About You
You will have recently graduated with or be in your final year of, a relevant degree plus have a basic knowledge of environmental permitting legislation and guidance, knowledge of environmental issues and management of impacts. In addition the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Builds strong, lasting relationships with others.
- Effective at managing their time and has a can do attitude.
- Report writing skills and competent Microsoft software suite user (Word and Excel).
Graduate level membership of a relevant professional body.
Due to the nature of the role you will need to hold a full current UK driving licence at time of joining.
